Comprehensive analysis of distributed energy resource penetration and placement using probabilistic framework

Integration of distributed energy resources (DERs) affect system performance in multitude ways such as reliability, losses and voltage profile. Thus, increasing resource penetration necessitates impact assessment particularly when DERs comprise stochastic RES based generators (DGs) storage system. This paper presents a formulation for the analysis DER placement on profile probabilistic framework. Penetration level has been defined, giving due consideration to behaviour generators. The work presented incorporates two important factors problem, that is, intermittent nature dual units. In order account uncertainties inherently present RES, load flow used this work. Placement problem is solved three different levels, 20%, 40% 60% using utterfly particle swarm optimisation. seasonal effect correlation with levels also investigated. Results provide useful insights identification optimum level.
